Spring trip to Phoenix for spring training saw a few more declines in paper items this year (but still better than 2021)
Glendale - Free programs for Dodgers and White Sox still exist but with one cover for each team. In the past both teams ran multiple covers.
Dodgers cover subjects are Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts. Sox features Dylan Cease and Tim Anderson.
No pocket schedules available for Spring games, Dodgers or White Sox full season.
Peoria - Free full sized scorecards feature J Rod and Joe Musgrove ( I think). Spring pocket schedules for Peoria games feature the same photos. Mariners early schedule features Luis Castillo, no schedules available for the Padres
Talking Stick - Free program features both the Dbacks and Rockies with several players on the cover. No spring schedules but Rockies 30th season schedule was available. Nothing from the Dbacks. Rockies had 2 minor leaguers signing autographs by the team store prior to the game.
Goodyear - Nothing… OK, you could buy a generic one sheet scorecard with one side “home” and the flip side “road” but no pocket schedules or programs in sight. Generic scorecard looks the same as prior seasons.
Overall, A far cry from pre-pandemic items where every location had a spring schedule showing all games in the area, most had programs/spring training yearbooks and full season pocket schedules available.
