Hard to believe, but I already received notification from Yahoo! Fantasy baseball about renewing the leagues.
We have a lot of new members this past year, so let me briefly recap what we offer:
I run 6 completely "free of charge" leagues while Andy (bbcardz) runs one "prize" league. (I'll let him give the full details on what is required to join that one.)
Of the 6 free leagues, 3 are rotisserie (roto) leagues (where the stats accumulate throughout the duratioin of the entire season) and 3 are head-to-head (H2H) leagues (where teams face off against different teams each week and your standing depends on the direct win/loss/tie numbers each week).
Last year, we had a few managers that did not tend to their teams, so they are not being invited back. This means we have openings. Also, we are not afraid to expand.
Anyone who was NOT playing last year (you're automatically going to be in, please don't write me!) who would like to play this year, please send me a Private Message with "Fantasy Baseball 2023" in the subject and which league type (Roto, H2H, or both) you want to join. I will send you a link by the first week in March to access the league. I don't just assign the leagues right away because I need to see the interest level (and if expansion is needed or not).
Also, Anyone who played last year and does not want to participate this year, let me know that as well. As much as I hate to see people go, I understand life is life, and fantasy baseball is not life. :) No hard feelings, and you're welcome to come back anytime.
Due to the complicated logistics of balancing 3 leagues of each type, I'm going to have to impose a deadline of March 1 as the latest I can accept new managers. Please understand. As it is, that might be cutting it fine.
Drafts are in the evenings and will be held during and around the weekend before opening day. (Gives eveyone time to adjust their lineups and/or teams as needed.) There will be nights with 2 drafts, I will try to make them be for the same league types so that people who play in both leagues will be less likely to have back to back drafts (unlike me, who will have a few).
Thank you, and good luck to those playing!
