I won a hockey card lot of 17 cards (Panini Hockey Lot (Prime, Limited, Classics) Mikita, Lemieux Etc..)
Received the package in the mail and opened, Inside was the stack of cards secured with a rubber band and no other protection.
Some of the cards are damaged. Reached out to seller and hoping he will respond,

I've seen my share of bad shipping methods, but have not come across rubber bands. Not like it's the 70s anymore... Good luck with the seller.

Not just on Ebay, I've seen something similar on this site.

Mark, I'm going to assume that it was a vendor who doesn't deal with cards much. I'm saying that because I saw a picture of a lot for sale on Shopgoodwill.com that showed a stack in a box with rubber bands around some. But then again, I'm sure you wouldn't have bought them if they were shown in that state. Sorry about that.

They should know it is much better to just staple the card together.

I've given hundreds of cards to the local Goodwill store here in Catalina, AZ area in 800 count boxes because I haven't found any collector here that wants them. Giving them to Goodwill and maybe them selling them I figured it would be a good way to get cards in the hands of youngsters. Because I need to keep the remaining 800 boxes I have I've decided to put them in batches of 100 and wrap them with blue tape. . There're not expensive cards mostly fillers.

AS Sportzcommish already said, chances are it was someone who doesn't usually deal with cards and didn't know any better.
I was just in an antique store over the weekend and saw a booth with several stacks of cards for sale, every single batch were wrapped with rubber bands. There were some otherwise good cards there too. Shame.

You would think then that if enough people pointed it out to him he would have learned his lesson on how to ship cards. I can understand once or twice but if you are saying several feedbacks mention it... that's unforgivable.
