I was thinking that it would be interesting to see who fans of other baseball teams would put together when creating an All Time pitching rotation. I am a Diamondbacks fan and considereing they have only been a team since 1998, it is fairly easy for me to come up with one. I would be interested in seeing some of the names put together from fans of some older baseball teams. Maybe I will even learn of someone new.
This is what I came up with for the Dbacks:
Randy Johnson / Curt Schilling / Brandon Webb / Dan Haren / Zack Greinke

I think you'd have to parse this as "during their time with the team," which would have to rule out guys like Nolan Ryan and Scherzer from my Mets list. So in that case:
Seaver/Gooden/deGrom/Koosman/probably Al Leiter, I guess?

Cool idea! Cubs are my team, so here's my thought: Mordecai Brown, Grover Alexander, Fergie Jenkins, Greg Maddux, Hippo Vaughn

I agree that I should have mentioned "during their time with the team". And also two replies in and I already see some players that I need to look up.

Or maybe even a R.A Dickey so you have all their Cy winners on the staff . Cone is another possibility .

Great question!!
For the Brewers, I will give it a try. Here is my 5 man rotation.
Ben Sheets
Corbin Burnes
Brandon Woodruff
Teddy Higuera
Mike Caldwell or Yovanni Gallardo
Yes, I do realize that the two current guys have a long career ahead of them (hopefully), but with what they are doing on the mound right now, it is very hard for me to leave them off of this list.

Top four Red Sox seem pretty easy. Cy Young, Babe Ruth, Pedro Martinez and Roger Clemens. #5 is a good question. Smoky Joe Wood?
