It just seemed strange. Hopefully if they do anything like that again there are some modifications. It was basically a bumper car track.

I personally enjoyed the racing day in the Coliseum. But the pre-Clash races were more interesting than the actual Clash. The LCQ #2 was the most exciting part of the day. I really thought we'd see more of that in the 2nd half of the Clash, but it just didn't happen. The entire Clash weekend was just a spectacle, but that's what it is supposed to be anyway, no matter where it is held. The main differences this year were the track and the fact that the teams didn't need to keep those cars in good condition for D500 Qualifying, the Duels or the actual D500. Plus, getting to race into it after going across the country with the teams and equipment for just one race. It was fun to watch to me. But I would like to see them move it around each year if they don't want to stay in Daytona for the Clash. As for the damage to the cars, hitting the concrete walls is going to do damage period. But the cars that hit the outside barrier and had to leave the race was not due to the body of the car. They broke stuff behind the wheels (or rather the stuff that connects the wheels to the car). I enjoyed the racing, but that's not something I'd watch every week. I'm just ready for the 500 now!

I sure wish that Moffit would sign his Panini stickers already and send them back to Panini. I'm STILL waiting on my 2020 Prizm redemption to get filled, even though I asked Panini to send me a replacement card in May of last year. I really don't have any interest in his career at this point. He'll have to prove something to me to change my mind. I didn't even know who he was when I pulled the redemption card and I'm even less interested now.

Sorry to hear about Wendell Scott Jr. You're in my thoughts, Billy.
As for the Clash, it was admirable of NASCAR to try something like this. It's unique, right in LA and kind of neat. With that said, I'd prefer they race at a real, proper short track. But it's an exhibition race, so whatever. I watched a bit of it out of the corner of my eye as I did other things and turned it off about halfway through. It was neat but also nothing special.

With many teams only taking 1 car to Daytona....
I don't see qualifying being real exciting....
If only 40 or less teams show up, think we will see a lot of drivers lagging at the rear,
during the duels.....
Since starting position for the 500 has little to do with how a driver's race goes,
I wonder if any smaller teams may skip out on the duels altogether....
