Personally, think they should have changed the name of the Coliseum to:
Circus Maximus.....
Seeing the few actual crashes, the cars don't seem to be holding up so well.....

Entertaining for what it was. Not what I would call racing though.

As an advocate for more short tracks in NASCAR, I fill like it got somewhat back to the earlier roots of NASCAR with the real small track. However, I was surpsied at how bad the cars got damaged from what appeared to be minor hits. I was especially surprised at Justin Haley's car from hitting the inside wall. I know it was concrete barriers instead of the modern SAFER barriers, but it still seemed to be very damaging. It will be very interesting to see if the cars acquire that kind of damage at events where they have SAFER barriers to see if they still get damaged that badly. I am overall just glad to see NASCAR back in action, though the race wasn't quite how I figured it would play out.

Ya he really got drove in there tho, Lost little respect for Larson on that one, Would have been nice to see Haley at the end. But ya I guess the concrete really dug into it. And seemed to cause alot of damage. Also the belt and drivetrain problems that occurred., might be alot of short races for some if they cant figure it out

Looked like a kiddie Go-Kart setup at the local mall. What was the average speed of these cars? I'll bet the drivers will be happy to be back in Daytona in two weeks.

I caught the last 30 or so laps, and wasn't impressed. I didn't like the idea of it not being in Daytona, but I can look past it if they move it around yearly. However I didn't like the track at all. Maybe I'm not ready for racing yet, I hope I will be in a couple weeks though. This race just seemed a bit too gimmicky to me, which is something they've done a few times in recent years. At least with the Roval and the dirt track at Bristol, they seemed to be cool enough that they worked and fans accepted it. I hope this was a one off or at the least something that is majorly improved upon next year.

Car speeds for practice and qualifying was just over 66mph.....
If they stated speeds for the races I didn't catch it.....
Though there were a couple comments about them being a bit faster.....
Bowyer mentioned he finally checked out lap times, but didn't announce any.....
One of the drivers that got knocked out, did mention it wasn't a race, but a spectical for the fans.....
