WOW... That is an impressive amount of research compiled. Your arguments for Baines, Hernandez, Whitaker, and Murphy were on the money. Thank you for your time and effort with this. I am sure I will read and re-read this multiple times.

Akkkk!!! Just rereading this because it's so fun and good. In anything this long there will be typos. But Stan Hack was a Cub! A Cub! Not with the White Sox. I'm crushed to the core.

Yikes!
Stan Hack is now been listed as been playing for his correct team.
Doing 60+ ballplayers must've made me a bit sloppy!
Notify me if you see any more of such mistakes.
Also, I'll be posting another one of these posts (Though definitely not as long) on baseball scandals sometime next week. Watch out for that!

To bring this forum back, the golden age era committee must released their ballot for this year covering the 50's and 60's. From what I can remember, the people on the ballot are Tony Oliva, (Yes,) Minnie Minoso, (Yes,) Lefty O'doul, Jim Kaat, (Yes,) and a couple others I can't exactly remember. Check it out and see what you think should go in from that. (I am not saying write another great in-depth article on it but just see what you think.)

How many times do these committees revisit these past decades of players? Will they ever say, okay, we got everybody that's deserving?

You're right, that article is absolutely absurd.

Random question that's a little late to the party
What's your opinion on Kenny Lofton? I always thought he deserved to get in

I love Grace is one of my ALL-TIME Cubs , That said B/C he is so short of 3k hits He will not get in. I DISAGREE with you bigtime on he was a good hitter. Look at the history of players playing in Wrigley Field ! If you look honestly you will see it is NOT a Hitter's ballpark , quite the opposite actually. Now people will argue it is HR hitters stadium and yes would agree is easier on HR Hitters Especially when the WIND is Blowing OUT , but unfortunately the Wind was blowing in more than it did blow out. In most cases when the wind blows in the Cubs have historically had more trouble than opposing teams scoring we always seem to be a free swinging team sadly. No Grace WAS A GREAT HITTER. Most HITS , & DOUBLES of the decade throughout the 90's and although not # 1 would be up on the list for Walks too which is harder for non HR Hitters. The Cubs were greedy and jut didn't want to pay to resign and went with that chump koske fukodome. If they resign him he's close to 3k and then DUH sign him for the few remaining season 1 to 3 needed for 3k Hits.

Got my collection kind of split up in 3 places in two seperate states. So I am willing to trade but might take me a bit to find the cards from my Trade / Sell list. So please message me first so that I can take some time to find the cards you would be interested in. Whether it's an hour or 2 months or etc. I would get back to you after locating the card or cards.

Did you actually read the article?
Here's my entry for Mark Grace:
20. Mark Grace
WARPS-2.9 (Standard-2.27)
Mark Grace played for the Cubs and Diamondbacks from 1988-2003. He is a 3 time All Star (1993, 1995, 1997) and a 3 time Gold Glove winner (1992, 1993, 1995.)
Mark Grace was called Mr. Cub, inheriting the nickname from Ernie Banks, the original Mr. Cub. His .303 AVG, 2445 hits, .825 OPS, and 119 OPS+ point to the fact that he was a good hitter. He only hit 173 HR, but his .383 OBP (On base percentage) shows that he was a good contact hitter. Mark was not the best defensive player, having a -5 dWAR and all. His fielding percentage was nonetheless 0.03 above the average.
Mark Grace, for me, is definitely a borderline HoFer. His case doesn’t blow me away, but it does make sense as to why he could get into the Hall.
