The SF Giants. I mean, wow. I really don't know how many people would have predicticted even a winning season this year. Sitting in a division with LA and SDP this team was invisible in pre season discussion. And now the best record in MLB! I'm an A's fan but I've got to give it up to the team across the Bay, this is unreal.

As a lifelong Giants fan I have to agree. No one including me really thought the Giants would finish ahead of the Dodgers and the Padres. That just might happen. Still too close to count any chickens. I honestly thought if we had a .500 or above year that would be great. I was just so excited about baseball this year. Well it has turned out to be quite a year. Have seen them beat the Dodgers this year, saw them beat the Brewers on my birthday and going to another game against the Braves on Saturday with two daughters and a grandson. Only thing missing is my dad. Hopefully I will be 3 and 0 for the regular season. They could even clinch a playoff spot tonight. Thanks for the kind words A's fan. I still hope the A's can make the playoffs too. I love baseball.

Dodgers fans think it's time for some payback for 1951. ... a nice round 70 years ago.
2021 difference is only 3 games with 18 to play. Crazier things have happened.

Can agree as a Giants fan, I have no idea what got into the boys this season, but WOW. I've been impressed by them, but this is a major step up from the last couple of years. Making my Giant's Auto PC a little bit more expensive to collect.

I have always admired the approach of the Giants to put the best team that they possibly can on the field each season. Rarely can I think of a time the Giants have been in a rebuilding phase. This focus on competing the best you can every season regardless of what other teams are doing has led to more success than failure.

The Giants have really taken their game to the next level and then some. Gotta also give some credit to Giants President of Baseball Operations Farhan Zaidi and Manager Gabe Kapler. The organization's future looks bright--they definitely took away some of the Padres thunder and are looking to end the Dodgers streak of consecutive NL West division titles (currently at eight). I'd love to see the Dodgers and Giants face each other in the NLCS--that would be something!

Vin Scully just tweeted: [game 5] was the most important game in the history of the rivalry. [especially since the Dodgers won.] The ghosts of 1951 are exorcised?
