For the most part, I liked the ones I saw with my judgment coming from seeing them in game use, not mock up or models. But I didn't see the Dodgers or D'backs, so I can't speak to those. For the Red Sox, it is definitely an acquired taste. I wanted to lambast them, it is my team after all, but when you really look at it and what they stand for I'm liked it better. The Marathon and Patriot's Day is part of the City and holds special meaning. Those from the outside may not get it. And that is probably way so many dislike these uniforms, the meaning behind them. Not to say all were perfect, but let's give them credit for trying something new. Now, about that Nike swoosh though.....

I guess I'm just a traditionalist, as is common among Cardinals fans. I think a white home home, a grey away. and maybe a couple of neutral alternatives are all you need. I hate all of these colored jerseys that teams wear these days. I'm just glad I wasn't around to see when the Cardinals played half their games in those robin egg blues

I like both of the Chicago jerseys, and the Diamondbacks isn't bad. In all I have no problem with them (the Red Sox one is a little odd, but I don't like Boston anyway).

If you think it is bad now just wait, it will get worse.
Just wait until the ads are on the jerseys like in the nba.
Then there will be ads on the actual field like there are on the ice in the nhl and on the court in the nba.
I am so glad I do not support the mlb anymore.

Tradition has been long from baseball starting with the DH. Now the infamous "swoosh". Simple answer for those of us that don't like it is to not buy Nike. Commissioner's job is to make money for owner. Selig ignored steroids for years. Now this. I say "poop on the swoosh"

I will admit, the dbacks and white sox jerseys aren't terrible, but they need work. The time I hated the swoosh the most is when they showed the field of dreams game. It took the throwback out of the throwback unis.

Would you rather see Fanatics start making the jerseys?! At least Nike sells quality fabrics. If Fanatics made them, they would cost more and last half as long, even if they weren't worn often. I don't like that Nike is buying up all the jersey contracts in the major sports now, but I haven't seen anything odd in NFL jerseys yet. I did think the MLB All-Star jerseys were crazy and distracting when the game started, but then I started to see what the designs actually were and I was okay with it. They were really confusing from a distance, but made more sense when you could see them up close. I still wouldn't buy one. I didn't hate the designs, but the league designs need to have a more uniform look than they did this year. They could at least have the same main colors if there are going to be different "logo" designs for the teams within the league. I haven't seen the city designs for most teams yet, so I won't say anything about that.
As for ads "on the field", they are already plastered everywhere except the grass and the dirt!!! Backstops have LED signs now that sometimes change after each batter. I've seen ad stickers on foul poles, field coverings (for rain), the catch net and so on. Everything around the stadium has ads on it and the scoreboard at most parks can have running ads on it all the time. As for TV broadcasts, some networks put ad logos on the screen whenever they show the strikezone box, the inning stats, pitch counts and so on. We honestly don't even need commercial breaks in almost any national sport these days as they are already everywhere on the screen and all over the field, stadium, court, rink or track. In NASCAR, they even advertise INSIDE the cars now!!!

The Dbacks jersey looked ok, I just wish I could read it.
And although the Marlins jersey looked horrid, I appreciate the story. In that case, it isn't really the fault of Nike or the fish, it's the fault of whoever designed the jersey of the Cuban Sugar Kings. They debuted it against the Braves, my favorite team, so it was a little bit of a shock to turn on the TV expecting turquoise and getting red.
