I said before that no one company should be able to get an exclusive deal with a pro sports league. If anything allow a certain number of companies no more than 5 ever to be able to at least produce one product with a limit to # of inserts and # of parallels.
That said I am heart broken that Upper Deck hasn't been a part of baseball for a while now and especially with Fanatics taking over there won't be any 500 HR Club bat cards for Miguel Cabrera .
Let me clarify to that I mean ones with the MLB licensing and logos on unis.
-------------------------------
Got my collection kind of split up in 3 places in two seperate states. So I am willing to trade but might take me a bit to find the cards from my Trade / Sell list. So please message me first so that I can take some time to find the cards you would be interested in. Whether it's an hour or 2 months or etc. I would get back to you after locating the card or cards.

Why won't there be any Miggy 500 Hr cards? Topps still has a license through 2022.

I'm guessing Big Ben is noting the continuity loss of a series that UD was doing. Though to be fair, I think Pujols' 500, and Sheffield came after the end of UD as an MLB & MLPAA license holder, so IDK.

Topps will still be able to produce MLB cards until 2025.

Scary line...
"Fanatics’ plan for the physical trading card space is to expand it by opening the market to leverage it more via direct-to-consumer offerings, according to people familiar with the matter. For example, should collectors purchase a trading card, they’ll be able to insure the asset, grade, store and even put them on a marketplace to sell or trade — all through Fanatics."
How is this not an attempt at a monopoly?

Hmmm and it wasn't to long ago Topps went onto the stock market. Glad I didn't jump onto that band wagon

Actually, Topps going public for stock purposes was supposed to happen just a few weeks after the Fanatics announcement. Instead, right after the announcement the stock deal was rescinded.
