I will elaborate on some other facts. 

I reported one of BOBSCARDZ’s posts the day before he was banned.  I don’t claim that it was the reason he was banned, but I have a feeling it was a factor.  After reporting the post I received no follow up from Admin or any other member of the site regarding the matter.

As vroomed mentioned above, the report was related to Bob attacking another member personally.  It had nothing to do with cards or Bob’s previous disagreements with members about errors, variations, etc.  It was a direct, personal attack.  Bob had been asked to stop attacking that person in that same post but he instead chose to double down and continue the attack.

I was not the person his attacks were directed at.  I had previously had no communication with the person his attacks were directed at.  However, I felt they were severe enough to report them. 

If you have any feelings that he should still be given a second chance, or that he has changed his ways, please consider his current profile.  At the time of writing this post he still negatively references the individual he attacked in that post I reported.  He has long assumed that it was the person he attacked who was responsible for reporting him and has continued to attack them in his own way. 

I reported him.  If he feels the ban was due to that report, then he can blame me. 

EDIT: Am I the one who "just ranted"?  I presented facts.  My official stance is to "keep hate for others" off the site.  Unequivocally NO.

Thank you for reporting FACTS from the actual event and not second-hand regurgitation from the person who was banned.

This is the true reason why Bob was banned. Attacking another member. Not becausehe was annoying and we thought he should go away.

Because he directly, personally ATTACKED another member.

Again, if you feel this behavior should be rewarded with re-instatement, you're the issue.

I actually had not thought about him in awhile. I went to his profile as forestcards said where he still calls out and blames the one he attacked.  I read what he posted back in December before it was taken down. I cannot remember the exact words but my initial reacion was "Holy bleep!" When word of his banning circulated I thought it just based on what he said in that post. Now here is the thing....

The member on his page IS NOT the member he was blasting on what I read. I always assumed it was that post that did it, but if forestcards reported him for another blast on a different member....plus what I read about a second.

It is far less than a year.  Looking at his profile I don't see anything has really changed.  I wasn't going to even bother putting my 2 cents in but having lived thru the at least a month leading up to his ban, I don't want to go thru that again.  I stepped back from the site before the ban because it was such a bad look for the site. He would ask a question, get an answer and say he understood and then ask the same question and then go after the person who answered him.  He would need to show some serious change and I don't see that in his profile

I was going to say "Yes". Now i say, "Yes, if..." if Bob cleans up his page and admits his part in the ban. 

At the same time...asking to lift a one year ban on someone does not make them "the problem". It is dialogue. Personal attacks are "the problem".

Man I gotta pay better attention. I didn't even know he was banned or doing a PR campaign to get re-instated. Mulling it over it has been nice without his posts on things he's been told no to a dozen times.  I didn't see any of his attacks so I can't comment on any of it.  At the end of the day it's ADMIN's site so I'll side with him.  I truly don't care but if Bob gets back before Shoeless Joe and Pete get in then I'll be pissed.  

I'll abide by Admin's say. I still believe he should be given another chance, even if it's a quick hook or a short leash if he doesn't follow the rules. I am one of the more active members who had tried various times to help him understand that it was Admin's site and not Bob's. I suggested often for Bob to use his own website to track cards for his own pleasure the way he desired.

As I posted in the email I sent, I am unaware of what was the final straw on his banishment, but I just wish to go on record as once being defended from one of Bob's offenses (an attack, I don't know) - not the last straw, and the demand (by my defender) was for him to apologize to me. THE APOLOGY NEVER CAME. Yet, I chose to let by-gones be by-gones. Maybe my blood pressure skyrocketed, I may have cursed him out in my mind. I honestly do not even recall the specifics of the incident because there's been so much water under the bridge. I never felt threatened physically so it's hard to comprehend "he personally attacked another member". We have the capability to block members from trading or communicating with us, and like Bru said in the OP, there are certain posts that I don't read when I see the member ID, so we can do that, too.

There is an assumption that I'm making in that Bob knows exactly why he was banished. Maybe the stipulation for his return is that he make up for the alleged "attack". I do agree with some that the banishment period is "time served", but I can see a need to mend fences, or at least an attempt to do so because you can't force someone to forgive another, and have that be part of the reintroduction into participation into the forum.

My vote remains Yes. (And I'll reiterate, it's Admin's site and his decision stands in my mind; whether I agree with it or not is irrelevent.)
