For me as a Cubs fan I am sickened and this is a day that lives in infamy , unless we get at least 1 if not all 3 back after offseason / FA .
That said even though he has is injured atm I actually liked that the Cubs got Nick Madrigal from the Sox I contrary to popular opinion believe that would be a GREAT Future asset for the Cubbies especially when you see that he has hit for High AVG. everywhere he has been levels wise. So my opinion I like the 2ndBS Madrigal pickup the Best. Now onto the worst hands down is the Bryant trade I won't even mention what we got B/C it is not worth mentioning. Up to the deadline what little rumors there were about any Giants / Cubs trade talks that were mentioned if it was Bryant it would have been for that Joey Bart C granted we have some Catchers. We still should have AGGRESIVELY persued and PASSIVELY laid down for the Giants. I would have taken NO LESS than BART and then at least either that Of or the Pitcher as well whichever one that we thought we needed more. Before you say anything dumb. YES they would have went for it B/C the Dodgers already made BIGTIME moves by that point. INSTEAD the Cubs are not the LAUGHING STOCK of The LEAGUE & MEDIA and I say rightfully so , but so long as suckers keep FILLING UP seats in Wrigley Field . This ownership is going to try and just get by on the cheap.
Bryant Trade = not an F but an ABSOLUTE ZERO , The Trade with the White Sox that brought us Madrigal in my mind looking towards the future I say is at least a B+

Got my collection kind of split up in 3 places in two seperate states. So I am willing to trade but might take me a bit to find the cards from my Trade / Sell list. So please message me first so that I can take some time to find the cards you would be interested in. Whether it's an hour or 2 months or etc. I would get back to you after locating the card or cards.

Yanks seem to have done decent. Would not have wanted to give up so much for Rizzo but the Cubs are paying his salary so it makes sense. If he helps them make the playoffs, you could argue it was worth it. Curious to see if they push to resign him if CBA ever gets worked out.
Not sure what they gave up for Gallo, but he has one more year of team control so that is a solid get.
Heaney - some starting pitching depth was needed, worth a gamble if he can give 3runs/5 innings a start or turn into a solid 2-3 inning reliever.
Yanks are also playing it cheap, they have self imposed limitations on their roster due to salary cap so while they have a big payroll, owners are palying it cheap in a different kind of way that has most definitley hurt the team.

I like what the Reds did by not giving away their top prospects while still acquiring 3 bullpen arms. I would have liked another starter, but if it wasn't for their bullpen they would have one of the best records in the NL. They are getting back some key help soon so they know that they can catch the Brewers with what they have and did not have to sacrifice the pitching they have ready to take over next year

Seems like Luis Castillo has figured things out. I couldn't believe how terrible he looked to start the year. Hope he keeps it up.

I'm thrilled with the Yankees acquisition of Rizzo and Gallo. It gives them the left-handed bats they've needed.
However, it does nothing to help Boone's mismanagement of the bullpen, which will be absolutely necessary if the Yankees can find a way to the playoffs.
Additionally, my heart goes out to Cubs fans. If we don't keep Rizzo, I hope you get him back. He's a great ballplayer.

I'm excited about the Marlins getting Luzardo, because their pitching development has been pretty good as of late
A rotation of Alacantara, Rogers, Sanchez, Luzardo, Lopez and possibly Max Meyer sounds scary
The way the Dodgers got Scherzer and Turner sort of made me believe they're trying to make a superteam, they have so much talent
and for the Cubs, I definitely didn't expect them to sell out already. I do feel bad for the fans
but my inner Missourian is laughing hysterically at this

And some people thought that all the revenue from the Marquee Sports Network would help the Cubs re-sign the core at the end of the season. What about all the money from the naming rights to the exclusive seating areas that were "so" important in the rebuild of the stadium? American Airlines 1914 Club, Maker's Mark Barrel Room, The W Club powered by CDW, Catalina Club, CREE Lighting Club.
Makes me laugh and cry at the same time.

I don't really follow AL trades unless it involves NL teams, so I can't comment on most of what the AL has done over the past month. Trading was quite crazy this year though! One of the busiest trading seasons I've seen in a long time.

For the Phils, getting back a pitching prospect from Texas helps with the loss of Spencer Howard, but I don't know if it was the pitcher failing to take the next step in the majors or the team screwing around with him or what, but it feels like he wasn't given enough of a chance to succeed. Not expecting much more than typical #4/#5 starter stuff from Kyle Gibson and it's nice that he's under control for 2022 as well, and it's nice to have Ian Kennedy in the bullpen because nothing has worked for 2-3 years now (and it allows Ranger Suarez to return to the rotation). Clearly the team was rejuvenated by the trades as they were 1-hit shutout last night then lost on a walkoff tonight.... both to @#**@#()@*# Pittsburgh. TWO RUNS IN TWO GAMES.

The amount of outfielders for the Braves is incredible! They traded for Rosario, Soler and Duvall at the deadline, got Pederson soon before, have Heredia and Almonte active, and Acuna will be back next year. At least the OF was the only major weakness on the team with Acuna out, but how will they decide who to keep?
