I'll Wait by Van Halen got me through exams in University. Now, I'd have to go with Defy You by The Offspring.

I would probably alternate between the guitar part from Maria by Rage Against the Machine and the saxophone solo from Run Away by the Sunstroke Project (the Epic Sax Guy song) since I love Eurovision as much as I love baseball.

Radiohead - Airbag
Radiohead - I Might Be Wrong
Radiohead - Just
(I do like other music, but the first 10-15 seconds of each of those songs make for a killer entrance)

I love looking through all the music choices. I have a difficult time choosing one, I'd have to choose the heavy version of Revolution by The Beatles.
I also got to thinking: Why does it have to be music? How about part of a famous speech? John Kennedy's "Ask Not what your country can do for you"?. Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream"? Neil Armstrong's "One Small Step"?
Other than musc, what else might you have as "walk-up/entry"?

I don't think any famous speech would work well as entrance sound in baseball. Maybe a couple would work well with a persona in wrestling. Those could work there and maybe in boxing too.
In baseball, you just need some music and it doesn't even need to have words. So I want to clarify my previous comment about having the song "Burn" by Nine Inch Nails as my entrance music. I want the very beginning of the song or the last minute of the song. Intense guitars and synths with no words! I don't really "want to burn the whole world down" as it says in the chorus. For those that are lost on the song or the band, check out the soundtrack for the movie "Natural Born Killers". Trent Reznor is a musical genius! He was the founder of Nine Inch Nails and basically created all 20+ albums of NIN by himself. He put together a 5-person band so that he could perform live. The soundtrack for the movie "Lost Highway" was also compiled by him. The soundtrack for the first "Quake" videogame was compiled by him as well. He also did the soundtrack for "The Social Network", the recent Pixar movie "Soul" and a whole bunch of stuff between them. He's won a couple of Oscars and many Grammys and Emmys for his work over the past 30 or so years.
Now to add something to my list of entry music: the beginning of "Waiting for the Miracle" by Leonard Cohen from the Natural Born Killers soundtrack. That's a really good way to start an entrance too.

Ok, I thought about it. A few songs came into mind. But can't pick them because you are only going to get a few seconds of the song and the build-up of the songs I was thinking of, take too long to get to the point.
So my choice is Ace of Spades by Motorhead.
It starts with a punch-in-the-face guitar riff that never stops and the lyrics work.

If you asked me this next week, I would probably give a different answer, but right now it's Rock the Casbah by The Clash.
The sharif don't like it...HE THINKS IT'S NOT KOSHER!...Rock the Casbah...Rock the Casbah
