One off-topic forum post (by one of the site's most well-respected members) celebrating a big achievement of your son (who's also a member here) and asking for votes: not "selling"
Spamming your Youtube channel when one post would be enough: "selling"

LOL @ CAD - Love the updates! Thanks so much! I doubt they'll count blank "other" votes.
I appreciate all the kind words, requests for updates on his future, and the well-wishes. It's very heartwarming to see the outpouring of kindness to one of "long-time" members (his membership on here is more than 1/3 of his life!). Thanks all!

Well, this worthwhile thread remained a good thing till the early morning hours. Whether the comment was said in jest (I thought it was till the latest post), it has now rapidly turned into something ugly and probably reflective of people's negative moods these days. Thanks to those who have made it so.
Dan, hope your son not only wins this contest but has great success on the links during his College years.

Well being from Chi-town I was concerned with the Chicago Politics stigma of "vote early and vote often" so I decided to just vote once "From every device in my house". LOL
