When the package went missing that I sent you Sandy, I filed a missing package form. On the USPS website. It did take a few months for them to tell me that they found it. I had them mail it back to me because it was part of a load that a truck overturned on the highway and I wanted to make sure what cards were there were ok and not damaged and to see if any were lost. If that I needed to replace any. I took the letter I got with the return and showed the post office clerk the letter and they waved the charge of shipping them again because I've already paid it and it was their mistake for what happend.
Some things I've learned from it. Tracking only works for the country it starts in. Once it crosses the border it stops being tracked. You can't track a package starting in America on the Canadian system and the same goes for the other way around. The numbers do not work on the other system and they do not assign a new number for it, once it crosses the border.
You have to do it on the US postal website to see where it was last seen. You are also going to need that info for the lost report you will fill out. Just copy the link for the page. The sender is the best person to do the lost package report. But remember you can only do it in your country. Once it crosses the border all rules are off the table. Both country's postal companies will blame the other. And there is nothing you can do after that happens.
I had one cross into Canada they stated in a letter, that they mailed to the receiver. That they could not deliver it because his address was not a real listing. Now think about that one.
After weeks they told him and me it was damage. Then they said there was nothing in it and it was an empty package and still refused to give it to him. Canada said it crosses into their country empty & damaged and the USPS tracking shows it passed into Canada with nothing wrong with it. I also found out that if it was damaged it would have been turned back at the border and sent back to the sender. Canada's mail system is one of the worst in the world they have a separate company to deal with lost mail because they have so much of it. They will give you the run around then tell you the time is up we are done dealing with you.
Track it in the country of the sender and see how far it got. That screenshot of the tracking is useless. You have to do it on USPS tracking and see if it has crossed. If it has crossed then Sandy has to file a missing package with his mail system up there and you're going to need the tracking info from America to show it has entered your country and god help you on that one. The sender has to track it in America and if it has not crossed into Canada, file a missing package report and wait. They will get back to you either way but it does take a long time. A week or two after you have finally given up all hope, you will get the e-mail.
But DO NOT wait!! Get all the info you can from the correct tracking and file that lost package report immediately also describe it will all the delate you can. From the color of the package, to how you package it, to what is inside. If you wait too long it will be destroyed. AKA sent to the shredder. If I remember right America will hold it for 3 months from the date it was posted before destroying it. So get on it. Once that missing report is filed it will red tag that package the next time it is scanned. Or fits the description you give.
My package to Sandy was in an overturned truck the road rashed wiped The labels right off it. The package was torn across the top and side with parts of it missing and I got it back with no cards missing, but I did have to replace a few that took a hit. It was a good thing I had extras of them. :)
I hope this helps, if you need more info just PM me. I'll try to check back here but some things in forums fall in time.
What is that behind you!?! Oh, It's me! Looking at the cards you have, That I want. :)
