Could've been either one, but now that you mention it, it really seems like I recall seeing Goodman playing Ruth. Still don't recall the movie though.

I included Naked Gun in my list because despite it not really being a baseball movie, it did have more baseball in it than some baseball movies do.  The plot does revolve baseball in a sense, so while its not all about baseball, it does a central part in the movie.

As for those that have never seen Field of Dreams, don't feel bad.  It took me until I think 2018 to watch the first three (original) Star Wars movies, and sill haven't watched any of the newer ones past Phantom Menace.  When I watch movies, I have to be in the mood to watch them.  I never watched the Death Wish movies until last year, and since then I've watched them probably 3-4 times (except the 4th one, it sucked).  The great thing about streaming is there are so many free options that I can find a movie to watch I've never seen or forgot to watch.  Its how I watched Mr. Baseball for the first time last month, and Mr. 3000 a few days ago for the first time in a few years.

I'm the same way with movies. I have to really be in the mood to watch a movie. I have a stack of DVD's sitting here that I still haven't watched. I also don't go to movie theaters. The last movie I saw in a theater was Star Trek Into Darkness in 2013. As big of a Star Trek fan as I am, I still haven't watched the 3rd movie in that series (Star Trek Beyond), but I have the DVD. I have watched some of the new Star Trek TV shows though. As for Star Wars, I saw the originals as a kid and liked them, at least until the mid-90's re-release crap. Haven;t seen a single Star Wars movie since and couldn't care less.

Back to baseball movies: I knew The Babe was the Goodman movie but I don't really remember the actual movie itself. I recall seeing it but don't really remember the story as in any lines from the movie or specific scenes. I mostly just remember John Goodman in a Yankees uniform. Someone mentioned the movie Signs earlier too. No, it wasn't actually a baseball movie. But that is my favorite Mel Gibson movie and I don't really like him. But that was a good movie and I like how it had notes of Field of Dreams in it. It was clever.

I've never even heard of the movie "Everybody Wants Some!!".  Never saw Sandlot either but I've wanted to see that one.

One of my all time favs is actually a baseball mini series called "The Bronx is Burning".  Well worth watching if you haven't seen that one.

Tiger Town, a made for TV Disney channel movie from 1983 is a classic if you grew up in the Detroit area during that time as I did.  There are some great Sparky Anderson and Ernie Harwell cameos in the movie.  Of course nostalga being what it is and since I have not seen it since I was young, it may actually be a mediocre flick.

Unfortunately it has not shown up on Disney+ yet.  When it does, I will watch it again.
