Hello All. Over on MLB.com there is a list of the 25 best baseball movies ever made. I'm not particularly interested in aruging the rankings but am curious at what is the top baseball movie you've never watched.
Me: #2 on the list a League of Their Own. I sometimes find Tom Hanks to be annoying which prevented me from watching this on numerous occassions. I think I may take a chance if I can find it streaming.
#8: I know, terrrible. I have some how never watched The Sandlot. I've seen parts of it but never watched it start to finish.
I was surprised that I have not heard of several of these: 9, 13, and 17
Here's the list:
(Ones I've seen are in bold, so anything not in bold would be the best I've never seen)
1 Bull Durham
2 A League of Their Own
3 The Pride of the Yankees 4 Field of Dreams
5 Eight Men Out
6 Moneyball
7 The Natural
8 The Sandlot

Haven't Seen:
The Pride of the Yankees
The Natural
Everybody Wants Some (never heard of it)
Bang The Drum Slowly
The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings
The Rookie
Take Me Out To The Ballgame
Damn Yankees
Sugar (never heard of it)
Fear Strikes Out (never heard of it)
42 (Own it but haven't watched it yet)
Cobb
Favorites among those watched:
Field of Dreams
Major League
Bad News Bears (1976)
Angels In The Outfield (1994)
Others I've Watched:
The Benchwarmers (my friends liked it more than me, but I've enjoyed it more on rewatches)
Brewster's Millions (one of my favorites)
Ed (not one I need to see again, but I don't hate it)
Little Big League (I wish Dennis Farina was in it more)
Major League II (still decent though wish it wasn't a straight comedy)
Major League: Back To The Minors (I didn't hate it like others have, by then it knew it had to stick to comedy)
Mr. Baseball (Just watched it last month)
Summer Catch (good to watch every few years)
Trouble With The Curve (I need to watch this again)
A Mile In His Shoes (despite starring Dean Cain, a good movie about a baseball player with Autism)
Chasing 3000 (a decent movie with two kids fixated on seeing Roberto Clemente getting his 3000th hit)
The Perfect Game (Cheech Marin as a priest; a Mexican little league team advances in the Little League World Series)
Ring The Bell (not a good movie)
Bleacher Bums (very good movie based on a play)
The Man From Left Field (Burt Reynolds and Reba!)
Mr. Destiny (been so long I forgot it involved baseball)
Pastime (A good movie with William Russ, the dad from Boy Meets World)
Trading Hearts (Raul Julia did a good job in a decent movie)
The Naked Gun (I guess not a baseball film, but plot uses baseball)
I didn't list documentaries, or ESPN 30 for 30 films, but that would make a much longer list.
A man has to have goals — for a day, for a lifetime — and that was mine, to have people say, "There goes Ted Williams, the greatest hitter who ever lived."
Dear Fathers (and Mothers), please forgive me for I have sinned. Of the list of 25 movies, I have seen only seven. Seven. They are:
1 Bull Durham
4 Field of Dreams
5 Eight Men Out
7 The Natural
8 The Sandlot
11 The Bad News Bears (1976)
19 42
I am prepared to accept a suspension from the site or whatever punishment you see fit. Unless it's watching The Sandlot again, because, and I know this is another baseball sin, it was terrible.
It's not a sin to state facts...The Sandlot is terrible.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.
