A friend who I worked with posted this the other day and I could think of no better group than this one to help bring some hope (and cards - Brandon is a Blackhawks and White Sox fan) into this young man's life:

I need your help. My Nephew's nephew is an amazing 12 year old boy who had an incredibly rare heart attack completely out of the blue in November while playing hockey. After many doctors and hospital visits, his only option is a heart transplant. He is currently residing at a Children's Hospital awaiting a new heart.

In his last hospital stay, he enjoyed opening cards from everyone. I'm asking you to please drop him a card to show how wide spread his prayer network is!

Special request for all my military friends stationed overseas. Cards from overseas would be amazing!

Any connections to first responders to send cards would be great! They hold a special place for us for all they did for him when he had his heart attack.

Any update on how the boy is doing health wise?  I'm sure I can speak for everyone here and say we are all hoping for him to get a speedy recovery.

Thanks for asking and continued good thoughts and prayers - Brandon just got out of surgery today with a donor heart and is recovering.
