Aww man, I don't know about this. Those other sports I can see where it's appropriate. I mean soccer doesn't even have commercials during the games only at halftime, so ads on the jerseys is totally understandable.
If the NBA where just coming out and they were struggling financially, sure do whatever you can, but they're doing fine. So what's the motivation at this point to do that? Is it greed?
If a jersey manufacturer wants to put a small logo somewhere on the jersey, that's fine by me. But an ad for Tide on a classic jersey would be crossing the line I think.
There are plenty of commercials during the game. There are flashing ads under the scorers table. They sold the naming rights to the arenas. Is the whole thing for sale? David Stern should put ads on his business suits.
