Currently working through Children of Dune by Frank Herbert. It's not a hard read, but time ...
I used to read a ton more, but since my separation 7 years ago, it was one of the things that suffered as well.
Favourite author is Stephen Lawhead, lots of historical fiction stories mostly based in the UK, King Arthur, Robin Hood, St. Patrick. I also enjoy Star Trek novels, they're usually quicker reads

I could probably buy the already complete sets cheaper somewhere else, but I like getting my maildays.

Follow my blog - I Identify as a Card Collector. “Aslan didn't tell Pole what would happen. He only told her what to do. That fellow will be the death of us once he's up, I shouldn't wonder. But that doesn't let us off following the signs.” - Puddleglum in The Silver Chair by C. S. Lewis

All of Robert Ludlum's books are good, before and after the Bourne Trilogy. I don't like the ones that are passed off as Ludlum since his death, those that co-written or "idea by Robert Ludlum. Same with Clive Cussler and his Dirk Pitt series. Another good author is Philip Kerr and his Bernie Gunther Series about a German homicide detective before, during and after WWII. If you need more suggestions, just ask. The Bernie Gunther series should be read in chromological order.

I was so excited that USA was doing a series called Treadstone based off of the org in the Bourne Series. I watch the first season , got hooked and then it got canceled. UGH.. The Bourne series continued by Eric Von Lustbader isn't too bad but I do miss Mr. Ludlum.

Always looking for Blackhawk hockey, Notre Dame Football, White Sox and Bears Stuff. I have a plaque in my card room that says, "I could have been a millionaire but my mom threw out my baseball cards". How apropos!!! Collecting Chicago Blackhawks Hockey, Doug Wilson Hockey, Chicago Bears Older, Notre Dame Football in their college jerseys and Chicago White Sox.

Not a big reader, but I just finished reading how to set up this PS4 my sister and brother in law gave me. So I'll play some games on that. However I do have a few books I might read soon, including one on Roberto Clemente and another on Johnny Damon called Idiot. Pretty good name for a book by him after his DUI a few days ago.

Psalm 133
Verse 1 is pretty well known talking about how enjoyable that unity can be (we all could use a little more unity in our world these days!)
also reading Gettysburg Eddie- The story of Eddie Plank. I have special interest in this one since I found out (this fall) that he was a relative of ours.
thanks , mark

Can't do everything on the beach!!!! LOL ....... our secret phrase was let's go play some scabble ROFL. I have over 30+ Star Wars novels to read in Legends alone. Have yet to buy a single Disney era book. I have about 1000+ comics to read yet as well. Iron Man, Star Wars, Transformers, etc. This list is long. They are all my retirement library.
