Yes I remember that well, It seemed to always be 4 or all 5 of his contending weekly.and he had one of the best stables ever in Racing. Kenseth, Martin, Edwards, Biffle, And Kurt Busch 2 champions - Kenseth and Busch the best driver never to win a cup - Martin and 2 other great drivers in dwards and Biffle

In the first chase field, out of the 10 drivers, all 5 of the roush cars were in it
I feel like NASCAR should abolish the Four Team limit, because if drivers are coming up fast for, lets say Gibbs, they shouldn't have to go to another team if the rule just didn't exist

It wasn't so much that Rousch had so many good cars....
It was a tough period for NASCAR with sponsors and
they felt him picking up so many large sponsors,
it was leaving smaller teams out in the cold....
Sponsorship still seems to be an overall problem,
see that with only 40 car fields....

If more than 43 cars attempt for a race I see no reason why Nascar can't have a race with 43 drivers

That's because of the Race Team Alliance, which is probably the worst thing to happen to the sport. Also on Brian France for giving them so much power. I can't imagine his father or grandfather especially putting up with their shenanigans. The field was 43 cars at all Cup and Xfinity races until the RTA said they weren't going to allow that anymore.

There was talk a couple years ago...
That NASCAR was buying/merging Speedway Corporation
back into one Organization....
On the rumor the whole shebang was being sold
and the France family leaving the business....
Any developments on that front, anyone know of.....

The official line is that was made up by the media.
I suspect, however, it's true, and that led directly to Brian France being kicked out of the sport by his uncle, sister, nephew, etc.
We'll never know for sure...
