Darlington will probably be around for a while but I think people tend to forget that it was almost dropped around 2004, with that great 2003 race saving it

This season has already been way more exciting than I expected from the first 2 races in each of the 3 National Levels!
Have to say way back in the early part of the century when they had 16 different winners to start off the season,
was a highlight NASCAR sorrily won't see again IMHO...

Darlington wont be going anywhere for a long while now that they do throwback race. It is a highlight every year as well as being a bucketlist win for most drivers.

Even more suprising that it was once on the chopping block
Southern 500 has always been a crown jewel event and even then it still was a No Bull 5 event I believe

I remeber the NO Bull 5, And Yes it was one of them. It seemed to be reborn with the trowbackrace Idea, But I remember that they were not getting the crowds and talked about moving, Glad they didn't

Ya Darlington, Martinsville, Bristol, Pocono, Indy, ARE all unique in my eyes and hopefully never get changed / removed. I'm really looking forward to Bristol on dirt, And now I hear they are doing heat races. Should be wild.

Bristol is the next track on my must-see-live NASCAR list and that dirt race should be a thrill. Darlington is 3rd after Talladega but is also closer to me. Martinsville is always a thrill live, so much better than the TV coverage it gets! I went to Charlotte in 2018 but that was for the 1st Roval race. I couldn't turn down that opportunity for a road course race and the very 1st one on top of that. I'd still rather go to M'ville than Charlotte though, it's much more fun. I've always wanted to go to Charlotte for the All-Star race or the 600, but the timing isn't compatible with my work schedule for either race. After Bristol, 'Dega and Darlington, my next three tracks on the wishlist due to proximity would be Richmond, Dover and Atlanta. NASCAR is always more fun live than it is on TV! A bunch of people hated the 2019 October race in M'ville purely b/c NBC only watched Truex dominate the race. But that was a fantastic race in-person. Martin may have run away with the lead, but it was 500 laps of mayhem behind him. Battles all day long for all the other positions!!!

There's really something special about being there in person. I've only been to one race in person, that being the 2010 Nationwide race at Gateway. That was a really good race in general, I really loved being there. Plus there was a good finish
