Just saw this. RIP my fellow U.S.C Trojan. Truly one of the greatest pitchers of the 1970s.

Seaver was fantastic and always gave every start his best.I went to a game in 1972 that he started against the Reds at Riverfront stadium and the Mets won because Seaver hit a solo homer in the 7th to win the game 2 to 1. This is why I stilllike to have the pitchers hit because they can be the difference in the game.

A big enough name that even I know who he is. Many years ago my dad found some of the Pacific card set for him and brought them home for me, some of the longest tenured ball sports cards in my collection.
