Does anybody ever watch Corner Gas? It's a Canadian show that I just started watching. It's pretty funny. The last show I watched they were fighting over a Darrell Sittler Rookie Card and darrell made a few cameo's.

I have the six season series on disc. I haven't watched it from the discs as I used to watch it with my kids regularly and have seen all the episodes numerous times. Having grown up in rural Saskatchewan, I could relate to the characters and their lives.
When my son and I went back to Saskatchewan to visit family, we drove down to the town where it was filmed in. We met herbinator (Shane) there to make a trade in person and had lunch together at the hotel bar that is in the show. All the buildings that are featured in the show have a plaque commemorating it to the show. The setting for the actual Corner Gas station and The Ruby are no longer there but has a bill board stating that it was there that it was filmed.
I also once met a girl (nurse inthe Canadian Forces) who was actually from that town. She said she had watched the show once in a while but found it distracting as she would see buildings that her relatives lived in.

I tell people to watch Corner Gas, North of 60 and the newer horse drama on CBC. I am further north of Roleaux further south than NO60 and the horse drama would be futher west (think Calgary / Kananaskis. But Corner Gas is by far the closest to my lifestyle for sure lol.

More power to ya bud, I couldn't do it...so empty! Though I will admit a desire to drive up to Montreal and take Hwy 1 to Vancouver.
Hope your arm is healing well

The horse drama? Heartland? I would locate it more easterly than Kananaskis, Canmore or Calgary. Maybe Cochrane, but more somewhere like High River, Okotoks or Pincher Creek. Kananaskis has a dude ranch, but the area is nested in the mountains and it is more into skiing/golfing/hiking/meeting thing rather than in the cowboy lifestyle. I used to live there for a full year and the telephone system went off each time the thunder rolled somewhere in a 100 miles radius.
No one has mentioned Mike from Canmore yet?
