Well 3 of my beloved Hawk are up for induction into Hockey's Hallowed Halls tomorrow. Big Hoss, Marian Hossa, JR Jeremy Roenick and last but not least my favorite Hawk of All-Time and in my opinion one of the most underrated D-Men of ALL-TIME Doug Wilson. Hossa I believe is a first balloter, JR I think is a HOF but I may just be biased but Dougie Wilson has been snubbed for 2 decades and he deserves this honor. Blistering shot, great hands and one of the first to make the breakout pass a thing from behind the net to Savy. This when the red-line still constituted a two-line pass violation. He retired as the 8th leading scoring defensemen 1993. At the time the 7 ahead of him were all HOF'ers. He still leads the beloved in goals, assists and points from the Blueline for the greatest American Original 6 franchise. He now sits at 15 All-time in D scoring and only 1 guy ahead of him isn't in. 8th in goals with 237. How is Zubov in there and not Doug? In his 24th year of eligibility My guy Number 24 finally deserves his due. He's my favorite player, I dated his kids babysittter and saw him play live over a hundred times. I was there for all those heart-breaking playoff losses to Edmonton and Calgary. I have 315 of his 420 cards and will not stop until I get them all. Have a signed jersey, photo and puck in my Hawk-cave. LET DOUG IN DAMMIT!!!!!

So you think he deserves to get in?
;)
Sounds like how I felt about Tim Raines when he kept getting held out. Finally in. I'm sure Doug will get in too. Maybe as a GM first though!

I'm mostly organizing over adding right now.

I agree. Dougie Wilson belongs to the HHOF. I see Alfredsson, Brind'Amour, CuJo, Ignila, Lecavalier could make it as well. Roenick, Tkachuk, Larmer and Hossa are often named, but there are too many people before they have a real chance this year.

I doubt Roenick will get in any time soon due to his recent controversy. I expect Jarome Iginla to get in, but he's the only one I feel sure of.
I became a fan of his when I first got into the sport in 2016 and was reading as much as I could. I read that he donates a lot to diabetes research, and not because he has anyone close with it, just because he wants to find a cure. As someone who at that time was still newly diabetic I really appreciated that and have been a fan ever since, unfortunately I only got to see him play a couple of times since he retired after my first season.
I want to see Lecavalier get in because my friend who sent me about 3000 hockey cards back in 2015 thinking I would enjoy the sport, Lecavalier is his favorite player and it would be cool for him. That actually played a role in me getting involved in the sport..he was right.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.
