Well my wife and I were discussing my addiction to cardboard, I stated if We finished the basement I could move the collection to bigger place more room in office area. She talked to one fo her friends and The friend said maybe would be good time to buy bigger place. We started looking at one but didn't like the politics the agent was playing so we looked at another and out in an offer. WE heard back that we didn't get it as our house wasn't on the market so it didn't look like we were serious about buying.
Long story short we put house on market and with in 12 Hrs we had offer, and 24 we had bidding war and accepted an offer for $32,000 above asking. Now here's the problem. With Covid there isn't alot of houses for sale and like with ours the ones that are are going fast so we have no whereto live. God news it doesn't close till 2nd week of August sop not really worried yet, But I am not going to be able to do trades for a while as we have to pack and move hopefully just once and not have to stay somewhere for a bit and get storage.
Moral of the story asking for more sometimes gives you less lol

Good luck on the move. I moved 15 months ago and still have not fully unpacked my collection. Drives me nuts trying to find things right now. Hope yours is a smoother experience than mine.

Be careful what you wish for Jeff..
We tried for a few years to move to Arizona..Finally landed a job there in ealry March 2018 and did the big move..Bought a house and then the job didn't work out..Moved back to Colorado in early 2019..We still own a house in AZ (there's actually a fire right now about 3 miles from our house just outside of Tucson), house is for sale in a cold real estate market while we rent an apartment just outside of Denver..
Hope all works out well for you but there's so much uncertainty in the real world now..

Congatulations on the move. Please stay close because I really like trades we don't have to mail. Let me know if you need anything. Will be happy to help.

Congrats good sir, I hope everyhting goes well!! We just saw a house we'd die for as well and only a few miles away. If we could sell this acreage and make 150,000 profit the new place would only increase our mortgage by about 80K. Then we realized we were smoking something funny and continued on our way. At 47 and out of work no hope in hell. LOL

Congrats on the new house, always fun when you ask for something it doesn't usually happen but when it does bam. If I was closer I would help also. I would suggest start packing your collection now so you do not have to worry about it. I moved my collection 7 times while in the Army. Not fun.
Congrats again.
