Is there, or if there isn't could there be one central location a member could go to see what other members have their mailing addresses on file or create a section showing this information. I'm constantly seeing people who need cards that I'd just like to PIF to them but I'm either not their friend, they haven't signed on in a while or they don't have an address that I can see. It takes time to e-mail them, ask for it, have them ask why you want it and then it defeats the whole PIF concept. It would be cool to have just a section similar to the member directory but for those who wish people to have access to their addresses. Thoughts?

Always looking for Blackhawk hockey, Notre Dame Football, White Sox and Bears Stuff. I have a plaque in my card room that says, "I could have been a millionaire but my mom threw out my baseball cards". How apropos!!! Collecting Chicago Blackhawks Hockey, Doug Wilson Hockey, Chicago Bears Older, Notre Dame Football in their college jerseys and Chicago White Sox.

In the meantime, Joe, I get asked for addresses due to previously trading with the targetted PIFee. So I'd check on their Completed Transactions link for that avenue.

There is option in your profile to allow your friends to see your address....
I have also kept a spreadsheet with all names and addresses of members I have traded with I the past...

hawkking, I agree 100%. I used to keep a spreadsheet of everyone I did a trade with and quit doing that because I went to that spreadsheet and the person I wanted to PIF had since moved. I like the idea of have an address link, that way it's up to each member to keep it updated if they move.

And FYI, Chuck's asked me! It really is helpful to use the Completed Transactions link on each profile until something better comes along.

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards

Hate to be the stick in the mud.. but I'd worry about privacy issues, or at least people not wanting their address shared. If there were to be some sort of "address list" it would definitely have to be an "opt in" as opposed to an "opt out".

This has come up before, and this was the exact issue. Hence the reason that address are now available on your profile, but only to people you "Add" as friends.

Nec Aspera Terrent I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.
