we took our kids (5 and 3) to their first Major League Baseball game today! Came down to KC and saw the Royals and Jays. It was a beautiful day and thankfully a fast paced game so they made it 8 innings. I think my son will be ready for a trip to Wrigley next year.

Suggestion: Print out a copy of the box score. Get a couple of baseball cards for a player or two from each team and maybe a pocket schedule. Add the ticket stubs and a picture of everyone together and put everything in a folder for future reference.

Good idea. We mentioned it was there first game when coming in and they pointed us to guest services. They gave them a certificate and some baseball cards

That is awesome. I'm planning on taking my three kids to their first MLB game in August. I need to plan ahead to make it memorable.

For years I tried to figure out the first game I ever went to (not sure what happened to the ticket stub), but finally found it thanks to baseball reference. It had the box score and everything. I'm now working on a collection of players I've seen play in person. Well eventually I will.

13 year old daughter and boys that are 10 and 6. Going to Denver to see the Rockies play the Red Sox when they come to town. I've been a lifelong Sox fan but we don't live close to a pro team so finally decided to make the trip. My boys are really into baseball and love the Red Sox so hopefully it is a good trip. Probably will hit both games in the series.

Just an FYI, at Camden Yards, visit the Fan Assistance Center and mention its your kid's first game, they will give them a certificate. I did that for both my kids!
