I know some of you out there obviously collect more than just cards, so I thought I'd get any input I could from you all.
Apparently the postage stamps I collected when I went through a phase as a kid (say 1989 - 1993), which I thought had been long gone, were stuffed away at my mom's. Well, she dug them out and gave them to me this past weekend and at a guess, might be 5,000 to 10,000 stamps in 5 or so binders ad 5-8 stamp collecting books if I were to guess.
I don't really have much interest in collecting them still, so once my wife and kids are done looking them over from a curiosity standpoint, I might take a look to see if there is anything of value (I highly doubt it, but would kick myself if I didn't take a look), and then to get rid of them.
Looking for any favourable online resources that members out there know of or have experience with from a stamp pricing standpoint, or from a collection selling view. I probably don't have the patience or time to piece meal through ebay or similar, but might used a facebook group or kijiji site to try and sell the lot.
If there are any collectors, would also happily trade away stamps for cards - I'll need to figure out a way to summarize what the stamps are that I have. Also, if anyone collects stamps of sports - I know there were some olympics and similar in the bunch.
Appreciate any thoughts and input - thanks!
