#1 Red Sox owners have been anti Republicans and most of the players said they were not interested in going.
#2 it gives the media something to yell about so they keep some ratings
#3 $5 billion is for about 200 miles. There is already 700 miles built by Bush sr, Clinton, Bush jr, and Obama. No one wants a wall on the whole of the boarder only where we keep finding dead bodies of people trying to come in but die of heat exhaustion or thirst. We found over 100 dead just this year. Plus we have about 2,000 unfilled boarder patrols position open and have been unfilled for years.
spazmatastic we keep hearing exaggerations because each side does fund-raising off this type of dividing America. Mostly everyone is the same but that view will not get you any money to be re-elected.

I rarely get involved in discussions in any way about religion or politics b/c they usually lead to arguments no matter what is actually being said. But I have some questions about this specific topic.
#1 is why were the Clemson Tigers at the White House days after winning the NCAA National Championship for football but the Boston Red Sox hadn't been there yet after winning the World Series in October?!
#2 is why did the media (real and just social-media) make such a big fuss about Trump providing fast food for the Tigers team? At least he PAID for the food himself when they showed up during the shutdown. I don't like Trump at all, but at least he made sure the players got fed. I'd rather the president foot the bill than use some of my tax dollars to feed a bunch of athletes that can easily afford it themselves (for Pro players) or be covered by the University for the meal.
#3 is why will a border wall cost $5 BILLION dollars? I don't see the wall as feasible anyways b/c about half of the US/Mexico border is a river (Rio Grande). You can't build a wall in the middle of a river across all of Texas b/c there are fisherman on both sides that rely on that river for their living. It's already well-covered by border patrol making sure fishermen from either side aren't moving to the other side. What if Trump was trying to do the same thing at the Canadian border? Does he really think you can put a wall in the middle of the Great Lakes, Niagara Falls and up the St. Lawrence River to the Atlantic. It's just stupid to me.
I'm presenting these questions in a reasonable manner and will not respond to any attacks on my views. I'd be happy respond to any reasonable question or viewpoint in return.
I'll close with my thoughts that the media is the most responsible for the descension in America. They blow everything out of proportion and continue reporting on anything that happens consistently now that is a "hot-button topic" even though it was happening the same amount in the past. Racism, mass-shootings, targeted bombings and government shutdowns are nothing new in the US. It's just that news spreads faster in this time than it did decades ago.
I do want to address the Kaepernick thing though. He wasn't really "blackballed" until he sued the NFL. That is why Kaep is not on a team now. Who wants to deal with that stuff? The Panthers took a gamble and signed the 1st player that joined Colin with his "protest". But then he was fined several times for excessive hits to players this season. Jerry Richardson would have never considered signing him, but Tepper was tempted and signed him.
BTW, I read the other day that the NFL was restricting any sales of Panthers jerseys of Rae Carruth. Ummm, should there be any of those still existing after he was sent to prison in 1997 or 98 for murder of his ex-girlfriend and almost killing thier unborn baby? Now that Rae is out of prison, he wants custody of his son. WHAT?! Okay, that went off-topic there. Ignore that last part, but I do want to hear opinions about the rest of my post.
If you are asking me then you are in big trouble.
