In Canada, we call it Remembrance Day, we honour those who have served our country both near and far. We remember, as you do, the sacrifices they made for us to have what we do today. Thank you for your proud service for all of us.

Thank you all for your service. We certainly have a lot of veterans on this site. I'm enjoying those who changed their profile pics to their military photos. And thank you to any still in service. I think we have some active duty servicemen here too.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I too would like to thank all retired and active duty military people. First here in Canada, the USA and then around the globe. It was the men and women of these branches that not only protected my ansestors but every single person's at some point in history. Without your sacrafices most of us would either not be here or life as we know it would have been so much different. My only family members in the military are from WW1 so for my family today is a touch more imporatnt. My cenetaph at city hall has several cousins that made the ultimate sacrafice. Family taken from us and for ever altering our path both on our family tree but in freedom for all.
To Chuck, its an absolute honor to have met you face to face as I now know why you served. Your are a honest and good man, your wife must be so proud. To all the others I have not met, again thank you. I am sure your families are equally as proud and take today to feel the pride of all of us. You deserve it!!!

I too echo my thanks...my health precluded my ever joining the military, but my family has served in every major war the USA has been in, from the very first battle of the revolution to today's war on terror.
Unfortunately WWI is not well represented on cards, it would have been nice to honor the 100th anniversary of it's end on this day. But I will be pulling from my box of WWII cards for today's Card of the Day.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Cardboard History My COMC New Collection Website: Cardboard History Gallery (Still under construction) Tips on how to make your scans look like the card does in hand (No more washed out, fuzzy scans!):

A heartfelt thank you to all our servicemen and women past and present.
I don't have any connection to WWI, that I am aware of. My grandfather fought in WWII. My two sons are both active. My youngest did one tour in Afganistan.
Lest we forget...
