His own gun? Don't know about the states but if I remember correctly, you get a crash course on proper maintenance and usage of a gun before the even LET YOU HOLD IT in Canada. He had 4?!

He's a complete ass. Anyone who has ever owned a gun should've went through basic pistol safety. Whenever you touch a gun, you check to see if it's loaded. Cleaning it will a round is chambered is another level of stupid. He could've killed himself or someone else, and should have his license revoked.

I bet teammate Carney Lansford never shot his finger off! Sorry... Couldn't resist.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Nevada is an open carry state, meaning you can legally carry a firearm in public (with some exceptions, i.e. schools, govt. buildings, etc.) so long as it's in plain view. Registration is only necessary for those with concealed carry permits.

How you carry it less important than the safety involved. That's the reason all these people are lobbying for gun control - the guys who have accidents like this shouldn't happen. He shouldn't have any right to carry after that display....

Nothing beats the time he got hit in the head with a fly ball and ball bouched of his head into the stands for a HR. That should be a tip off as to why a thing like this happened.

Of course, when the people teaching gun safety are the ones handing loaded Uzis to little girls who proceed to blow their heads off, that says a lot too. (Yes, this happened in one of the western states recently)

Canseco is an attention whore. I hate to be cynical, but I almost get the feeling that if he hasn't been in the spotlight recently, something was going to happen to get him some publicity. Good, bad, or otherwise.
