Very good article to ruin your day. =( I am suppose to be doing taxes right now, the motivation is low today. We SK peeps love our hockey. My sister lives near there and my nephew travels that same highway to Saskatoon weekly for karate and Air Cadets. There isnt a day in SK where we don't need to drive somewhere. My kids ride a school bus five times a week. I now understand why I kiss each and everyone of them when they walk out that door. If you don't you should start.
I didn't play hockey, football, etc. I was a bowler. Yup a nerdy bowler but guess what I did make it to the "bigs" one year. We rode a bus to Calgary for the YBC Nationals. We wore cowboy hats and everything to represent Alberta (I know I know .... don't forget its a border city here) but the point is, like one of the people say in the link. It was a rite of passage. I still remember it to this day, playing Tone Loc(?) Funky Cole Medina(?) on our boom box. Riding a bus for sport is magical and most of us have done it, just sad that it happens I guess. Thanks all for your words...... and don't forget to kiss your loved ones from time to time. Or your pet, or your refelction in the mirror! =)

My husband is an NMU grad and follows Wildcat hockey, so it was sad news to hear that Darcy Hauger, a coach, did not survive. Hauger played NMU hockey in 1996-97. Prayers for all.

Thank You to POTUS for the kind words on Twitter, someone there knows the depth of this tradegy up here in Canada.

-- Dan -- Note: Please see my profile for more info regarding trading (section updated 10/25/2023). I have added a large portion of my inventory to the site, and currently have trading turned off (details are in my profile). I have (finally) unearthed my 2 very large boxes of Star Company minor league sets and they are available (email for details).
