Card Identification Forum

My bf has a 9 other cards similar to this Jackie. The backs are blank. I see that his Jackie matches the 1947 Bond Bread card. By bf says they are reprints, but I saw no 1947 Bond Bread reprints listed for Jackie. All the cards are looking old and rough..... How do I figure out when these were printed????

Reprint without "reprint" marked on it anywhere = Counterfeit

TCDB does not list counterfeits.

Edit: It was pointed out to me that my original post stated "Reprint WITH "reprint" marked...." which is completely incorrect! I meant if it does not have reprint on it, it's counterfeit. Sorry for any confusion!

No reprint listed on it anywhere, but wouldn't be surprised if they were counterfeits. I was wondering how to figure it out.....

I don't want to try and sell or even give away something that's counterfeit.... I'll toss then if that's the case.

So i talked to my bf and he says he has no idea where they came from and assumed they were reprints from the lack of printing on back of cards. He was reading up on the set and found that counterfeits are an issue for it. However, the descrption he read and photos included in the article seem to match what we have..... so we are gonna look onto getting them authenticated.

I think there's a shot it's authentic. The corners don't show the typical signs of all the counterfeits out there. Have you looked at it thru a loupe?
