Trying to clean up these porcelain sets and handle several IRs has been somewhat tough. Here's where we're at, and we could use some help if possible.
1990 Baseball's Dream Team
-- I think we're OK on this one. 12 plates, all reprints of 1950s cards. There's a spot for hand numbering, but I haven't seen any print runs to enter for this checklist. Lefty's plate posted above is a gold autographed reprint of a 1983 reprint, not the 1952 from this set. I've seen other gold autographed porcelain reprints, but I still haven't identified which set (if any?) those were from.
1990 T206 Reprints
-- I think we're OK on this one too. All were numbered to 1909 and none of the other plates were similar to these.
1993 Nolan Ryan ("Collector's Edition"?)
-- 99% sure we're OK on this one. 27 plates (distributed in a wooden box?), all numbered to 5000, one plate for each regular card 1968-1994.
1993 Nolan Ryan ... 6-card 5000 Strikeout set?
-- Here's where things start to get a little confusing. I've seen a reference to a 6-card set that celebrated 5000 strikeouts and included his 1989 Topps Traded and the first five cards of 1990 Topps (base #1 plus four "Ryan Years" commemorative cards #2-5). I've also seen a reference to a 12-card set, no description given, that may or may not have included a 1982 highlight card #5 and a 1985 highlight card #7. We have an IR in the system to add this #7 card somewhere but don't know where it belongs. And if this is a 12-card set, what are the other four cards? Another version of the 1968 rookie? Beckett, BCP and COMC haven't been much help on this one, so if anyone can provide any info that would be useful, it would be appreciated!
1993 Topps
-- Reportedly the entire 1993 Topps set in porcelain form but only 160 or so plates have actually been identified. This checklist was just added a few hours ago and is probably incomplete, but we know this one is only cards from 1993 Topps ... no past ones.
There may be other sets we're missing, but I just wanted to concentrate on the 1993 mess for now. Any help would be appreciated!
