So it looks like the checklists and scans for this set will need some work. I just purchased a 1300 card lot of these and just joing through 100 I have found the following.
Print A, B, C
Italy print.
Japan print.
UK Print.
Haven't looked for the other variations.
Lausanne or Geneva variations.
Finnish, German etc etc
Some likely will not care if they have a Japan or Italy card or whether they have the Lausanne or Geneva variation of a particular card or an 'A' or 'B' variation...but then again, some will.
I'm working on completing my set of 2184 cards in which I have the print runs seperated in this site. I have enough of the variations available that I might consider building a master set but, of course, that's a toughie given that most cards sold online rarely feature the back of the card and that, of course, is what you need to see to determine which variation you have. I will never own the Gretzky card.
US Print 03-005 then card #
UK Print 13-064 then card #
If you are finding number variations, you may have a lot which mixes the US version of the cards with those from the UK.
I have searched all over for accurate checklists and this site it on the right track except for some scans and the variations. Wonder if it will ever be corrected seeing that there isn't much information on the set. The different Prints and corrections per print run.
Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project.
