I was cataloging these cards this morning and came across these different back of cards. All the cards in the set have a Grey color but this one was sold black. I searched and couldn't find if it was a parallel or what.

In my opinion, it looks like just a variation in ink concentration rather than a parallel.

That was my fault and I only have like 50 of these so I didn't know. Thank you!

I would say just a printing variation as it is the ink and not the cardboard that is a different shade.

Looks like a variation. The bio text is different. What do the fronts look like? It seems for this year/set Panini had picture variations for some of these cards. I noticed the database shows the front picture variations (white jersey vs color jersey) with some of the backs for some of the players being the same some different. Romo's entries show the same back as the back on the left in you photo. Card #6 Tom Brady backs are the same, #7 Cam Newton different backs.
Maybe the different fronts are also supposed to have a different back and whoever submitted the scans on some of the cards was lazy on the back scans? I guess someone who owns the set complete with all the picture variants should compare the backs?

Good catch on the lower text... I stand corrected.

They are different. I didn't think about even looking because I saw the black back and set it aside while sorting. I just needed to look at the front. Can it be Friday yet? You guys are awesome!

I didn't catch the ink shading so I looked more carefully to see what possble variants were being asked about.

In the set, there is a listed variation for this card. The text on the back is the same, but that could be an uploader error who assumed the backs were the same for the variations.

I put in a IR to change the back on this card. I will get a good scan on it soon when life allows.
