1999 Bowman football cards checklist on this site shows Chrome Interstate Refractors containing serial numbers /100 and Chrome Gold Refractors with serial numbers /25. I have some of these that contain serial numbers but a seller from whom I have purchased cards from this set is selling these same cards which do not have serial numbers on them and there is no reference on this site's checklist of these cards that do not have the serial numbers. I need a little clarification on this set, why there are two versions of these cards with and without serial numbers but only serial numbered versions listed on this site?

I'll try to make better sense of my previous post..
There are 9 versions of the 1999 Bowman's, the standard player card and 8 parallels; Chrome, Chrome Refractor, Interstate, Chrome Interstate, Chrome Interstate Refractor, Gold, Chrome Gold and Chrome Gold Refractor. The sets with serial numbers are Chrome Interstate Refractors (SN/100), Gold (SN/99) and Gold Refractors (SN/25). However, an eBay vendor is selling versions of Chrome Interstate Refractors and Gold Refractors that do not contain serial numbers. I assumed the cards were listed incorrectly but after having purchased some of them they are the very same cards minus the serial numbers. So unnumbered versions of these cards are in existence yet unnumbered versions are not listed on this site's checklist. That's what has me confused. If Chrome Interstate Refractors and Gold Refractors are supposed to have serial numbers then why do unnumbered versions also exist?

Nor will they be listed here as they are a "printing flaw" - they either missed the step of getting the serial number, or they were released by a means that was not legal.

Probably bought them from Leximo, he is famous for selling these kinds of items (I have bought many from him). These items are normally (not always) cut from sheets he bought from a ex-Topps a while ago. The sheets were in different stages of production, so many variations of these "Proofs" exist. Don't meet criteria for inclusion on TCDB.

leximo = king (or queen) of the "oversized proof" cards.

Essentially nothing that leximo sells is eligible for inclusion here. And I say that from experience of having some from them myself.
