Obviously the P is Pierce. Ed Bailey caught that game. Home plate ump was Charlie Berry. Who's the hitter? The only Yanks with PAs that game were Kubek, Richardson, Tresh, Mantle, Maris, Howard, Skowron, Boyer, Ford, and Lopez. The hitter is a lefty so that eliminates Richardson, Skowron, and Boyer. Tresh and Mantle were switch hitters so they would most likely be hitting right againt the lefty Pierce eliminating them. The batter looks like he's a white chap, thus eliminating Howard and Lopez. Leaving as possibilities Kubek, Maris, and Ford. Thanks in advance for your help.

I think you can eliminate Maris. Go to 17:10 or there abouts in this video and he is wearing one of those hard shells that goes over a regular cap while batting. Lighter blue and the batter in the card looks to be wearing a regular batting helmet of the time.

My guess is Ford.  The handful of images I can find of Kubek in the 1962 World Series, his uniform is loose.  This fella has a slim waist and tight fitting uniform.  Also doesn't look super comfortable batting, which leads me to think pitcher.  But just a guess.

This is a good one. I agree the color of the helmet doesn't look right, but I think it's Maris. It kinda looks like his stance with his fanny out and the stride with the right foot. Maris was wearing long sleeves in that game too. Must have been cold for him not to have the guns out. Ford and Maris were both wearing high socks and long sleeves.

I don’t believe the picture is a photo from the World Series. It looks more like a spring training game. The low fence , small stands and the trees  aren’t from Candle Stick park where game 6 was played. I believe Topps used a different photo at the time figuring no one would know the difference. I think they used another picture  in the 1965 set also of Mantle which wasn’t from that World Series either.

I see an overhead photo from 1962, before candlestick was expanded, and there are low seats, trees, and a flagpole in center field.  And every SF photo of that series shows that chain link fence in the outfield.  So I think it's definitely Candlestick.
