Bob, take this from a friend. Asking for information or explanations is NOT an informative post. Your posts are supposed to inform NOT ask for explanations or opinions. Get that worked out and researched BEFORE starting a thread. Then INFORM us as to why they are NOT listable here. Even though you personally like to collect them.

OK, I'll throw my 2 cents into the ring here.....
Color variations like the ones posted in all the pics on this thread, I agree that color variations, color palate slips, etc that are PRINTING errors don't belong. The card showing the missing Topps (Jerry Royser), I would say is not a printing issue as there is other black on the card and (I would assume) the Topps would be printed right with the other black on the card.
Since this is Admin's site and they could just decide, hey, done with this and shut it down, what they say goes! There is stuff that is added as a "variant" that I think is just a printing issue (ex: donruss flipped backs, * or **, etc.) and shouldn't be added, but that's my opinion. I have some of the 2020 Topps that are missing the logo and I thought those should be error/corrected, but since they are a missing printing (the foil/chrome pass), I see why they aren't added.
I DO like having a message with the set for possible printing or cutting variants that people do like to collect, so they can see....hey, this was an issue with this set, but IMHO makes the cards worth less as they bad right from the pack.

Non-Listable Promotion |
Hi Bob,
You wrote:
I do think some members would be interested in some of my finds but I don't want to cause an uproar.. Maybe after you preview some, we can pass them on to the community.
I agree, there are some members who would be interested in these non-listable variations and would want t osee them ,and possibly purchase them. And I think I figured out a way to easily get them out there on display, without being flashy about it.
The only way I can think of to show the cards is to use the forums. Now, it depends on your intent where we put them. This is something we definitely have to work together on. You can create the post using the mystery card forum (that way you can add the front and back images). If you're tring to simply get word out that this VAR is a "thing", then we move the post to the set's forum. If you're trying to sell (or trade it off), then we would move it to the B/S/T forum. In either case, the images are displayed for all to see (and will stay there because they are uploaded directly and not hosted somewhere else). I can see this working for the "one-offs", not in a situation where 50% of a set is affected. (As an example, the 1985 Topps Phillies team box color shading difference - if you put one example up there, it would be suffcient, no need to show the entire Phillies team set.)
------------------------------------
So, here we are. as I said, if it was meant ot be informative regarding an individual set, we could move it to that set. If it was an attempt to sell or trade them, move to the Buy/Sell/Trade forum. Even the subject of it contains "Non-Listable".
Like I said, I tried. But when the directions given to help someone meet their communicated goals, either they do not know how to follow directions or their intent was to deceive (and therefore cannot be trusted).

Gator - the Ryster is a simple printing flaw too. That whole upper left corner is missing the black ink - you can see in the border around the photo gets broken up at the top and on the side it is missing completely from a certian point to the top. Just a print flaw.

You assume wrong. If you look at Topps black printing plates where "Topps" logo is black it is not on the plate. In many instances where common elements are black they are printed separately. It's more work to etch "Topps" into 792 black plates instead of just one sheet of 132.

Weren't the Topps logos on the 2012's done in foil, not ink (like the 1985s)?

Whoa....getting way to tecnical for me, I'm not a printer, don't know all the ins and outs.
However, unlike some members, I find the replies very interesting, informational and educational....See, cards are more than just cardboard!
Chuck, TY for your input, comments, suggestions and potential solutions.
Dan, Your replay of the give and take with you doesn't say anything about pushing to add cards. Information posted, replies from members. Still don't see anything wrong, unless your pride was hurt.
More to come, Be well, ~Bob~
[And for those that have asked, I will IR where appropriate and link or note for further explanation. That's the best that can be done]

BOBSCARDZ,
The last sentence of your 4th paragraph was NOT needed. If you have an issue with Dan, PLEASE take it someplace else.
In each of your post, you seem to put a dig in there. I consider this trolling and trying to provoke a response, that does not need to be.
If you want to stir stuff up, go sit on a pot, and leave your computer in another room PLEASE.
