I see these on Ebay and they all seem to have Topps photos. I am guessing they are pirate/bootleg/ripoffs.

They're art cards. Which some people want to legitimatize and allow on the site.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Yes, a virus. Everybody and anybody on planet Earth can make cards at home. Sell them on ebay or their personal website. And were expected to list them here just because they exist. Be it they're counterfeits, illegals, fakes, reprints, bootlegs, art, uncopyrighted, unauthorized, etc.

I've looked into these & turns out they were made on an actual printing press as a print sample. Picked one up of Rocky Bleier & the seller was right, print quality is incredible. Its a very high quality card & players of years past are everywhere on modern cards. I hear what you're saying but after reading this I've gotta say I'm all for adding these, if they meet requirements. I reached out to someone knowledgeable on these & here's his response:
The Monarch Corona cards were all issued as print samples by a printing company - they gave them out to generate sales of printing jobs. So as you might imagine, the printing quality is outstanding. They were made using traditional inks and card stock on an old-school press. Because they were printed in such small quantity, you won't see them in the catalogs, but PSA does accept them for grading and authentication.
I just sent a reply to see if he has a checklist.

Any copyrighted designs cannot be catalogued in our database. And they use other card company's designs.

Me personally I would not own one of these cards in my collection and if I got one I would assume fake and throw it away.
That's just me and I can't change that. Lol

Why the need to add that? You do realize a fair number of folks collect for the memories. After reading it's an incredible photo as they used these to gain business.. far from a homemade card. Even if it was? If you read this small thread, you'd see there was a lot learned by me. Gratefully. No problems whatsoever & now know what I have. Basically a killer photo on actual stock from a traditional press of which only 200 of each were made but, set aside as a great photo now with my thanks to other for their help.
Copyrighted photo yet still brings back memories hard to find without it. There's no need to "stir the pot". Have a peaceful day.
