Card Identification Forum

I just picked up a lot of 23 different Cleveland Browns DAV cards from 2006. (DAV is Disabled American Veterans)

The cards are 5" x 7", and the only numbering on the front and back are by uniform numbers.

Does anyone have any information on these? I can't find anything - how they were distributed, whether they were stadium giveaways or not, how big the checklist is, etc.

There are quite a few players in here that I believe have no representation on cards so I would like to add them, but I don't know if I have a complete team set or not. I suspect not after looking at the position representation of the cards (1 QB, 1 FB, 1 WR, 1 TE, 4 OL, 1 Long Snapper, 4 DL, 6 LB, 3 DB, 1 Punter).

Any advice as to what I should do, or can anyone find a checklist for this set?

just my 2 cents I think they may be stadium give-aways. This kind of thing is frustrating to search for because looking at team promotional giveaways usually only show which ones are coming up for current or next season. They never seem to have any kind of archive linked.

If they're like the DAV baseball, they would have been given away at the stadium on DAV Night.

I figured as much but haven't been able to find anything about them.

I tried finding anything out using the wayback archive, and can't find anything on the Browns site about them giving them away.  I did find a line on the DAV site back then stating certain teams have games they'll hand out cards, but unlike the MLB section, they didn't list teams or dates.
