Card Identification Forum

I have a reprint of a 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #181.  The black ink on the back confirms the reprint status.  I'm trying to figure out if it is part of an "official" reprint or some kind of one off.  Original thought was the 1977 Dover Publications reprint set but it seems those cards have perforated edges if removed from the book. There is nothing on the back or front of the card that differ from an authentic Goudey.  Any thoughts?

Sounds more like a counterfeit than a reprint, if nothing is present to indicate it's not original. 

Quite possibly a counterfeit.  I got it in a box of cards at an auction from a closed card shop.  It was in the middle of other real 33 Goudey's.  They felt the same, smelled the same other than the black ink vs green they all looked the same as well.  

Didn't want to start a new thread, but I was just curious why the red Goudey #149 isn't coded as a RC for Ruth like the other 3 from that set. An oversight, or is there a technical reason why?
