Just wondering how do you choose the sample card for a set or insert set?
I just always figured it was the first scan added but some sets have many scans and no sample card |

I don't think you can choose. I think Admin puts them in there at random because they do change, and I noticed some sets don't have one even if they have numerous cards posted.

You can choose the
sample card if you
have Level 8
permission.

A wierd thing I noticed one time, I was scanning cards that weren't in a set and one of the cards that I was scanning was being shown as the sample card. Even though it didn't exist in the set yet. |

I'm level 7, not sure what the criteria is for 7 or 8. |

Click on permissions in the column on the bottom left of the page. You can take tests to be sure you do it correctly and earn the priveligde to provide a set sample...in theory. I have level 8 permissions but I cannot select main set samples for basketball or baseball. I have not looked for football, hockey or any of the other sports, and I only know about baseball from when I click on "Galleries". I can do inserts and parallels, and I can also do main set images in non-sports and racing.
Admin can post sample cards without the scan being posted to the Database but they are the only ones who can do that. I've actually posted about a dozen cards that were done as set samples before the scan was actually posted.

How do you get Level 7 & 8? I check permissions, and I have 6 and I'm able to approve my own scans. Maybe you need to reach a certain point threshold?

7 and 8 don't show up as options for me either.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster. |
