Hello. I am new to this site and I've been tryinig to add my cards to my list. Does this site normally freeze up on a regular basis? The site will work fine for a while but then it freezes up. This is happening at least 4-5 times an hour. Is this a normal thing for this site? It's very frustrating and it's discouraging me from coming to this site at all.
Thanks, Shawn

Could be your browser or your computer. It's working fine here. Sometimes you have to consider the amount of traffic the site has.Have some patience.

The site is 5 to 10 times bigger than when I started and it is growing fast, so there will be "growing pains". Originally I set a goal to reach 1,000,000 scanned cards on the site, but we will pass that soon, so now I think "the sky is the limit".

I have noticed that
a lot of websites
have been having
the same issues.
Granted, I only
visit a handful of
sites each day
(This one the most,
then Facebook,
Fotki, Jayski,
ProBasketballTalk,
NBA.com on a daily
basis. (In order of
most usage)

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I have noticed on occasion that this site lags out. usually when I'm adding scans. I just let it do it's thing, bombard a few more links till I can't keep track anymore, and by that time the site's back to regular speed. It's also not my browser as I will switch over to another site and have continuous speed through while tcdb is loading. I do attribute it mainly to site traffic. if 50 of us all submit a card scan at the same time the site processor does need to process all 50 card submissions at once. that would slow the processor down. if 5000 cards are submitted at once... right? right?
I prefer Billy's positivity though. YAY Awesome new feature!!!

Some changes were done to the server this morning to hopefully better handle the lagging. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks,

I have found that everything hums along perfectly 95% of the time. I can easily live with a system this adequate taking a breather now and then.
