Good Day All,

I was wondering how to inturpret another member when they list their collections with and without trade/for sale and wantlists. Especially when looking into trading partners.  For example: (unless specifically mentioning a second profile)

T/Fs section, no wantlist - cards are for sale no trades 

Wantlist, no T/Fs section - Member using site as database but not trading

I know what they say about "assuming" but how else do members read a profile such as these?  It would seem that being able to make a profile private would be nice; thus not having your profile show up in certain searches.  Also adding a place for members to state that cards are for sale but not trading.  Just thinking outloud.

I, for example, use this site as a database.  But I am venturing into trades.  the way I am working it is I am buying from other members.  What I have for doubles I can't justify trading as most of them are in less than good condition.  So I don't list them.  Currently I've been giving these cards to my neighbor.  Your best bet is just to ask.

I never really put that much analytical thought into it, but for a long time I had my collection and a wantlist posted, but no tradelist. That's the most time consuming and difficult thing to do regarding managing my collection so I simply put it off and worked on things I enjoyed more, scanning. Even now I've not made any major updates to my tradelist since around 2015.

Database for my personal use for the most part, now have my wantlists as well, just put my T/S lists for both Ranford and Oiler RCs, as for my personal collection of everything else, I have been waiting for the multiple collection option to come online as I don't want to glut the place up with more versions of me. Have thousands of things to add just keeping my patience.

I only have my collection listed on the site. All of my duplicates for trading are just in their own box and if I think I have something someone might want, I just send them a message. I can also be pretty paranoid about giving out my info online so I most likely will limit trading only to regular, well known members here. I have only made 3 trades, two with the same person.
