I posted this in the forums for the set itself a while back, but I thought I'd surface it here.

Has anyone proposed a way to document the '81 Scratchoff cards as they came in the packs, three cards to a sheet? I was thinking it could be added as a parallel checklist, perhaps. Each sheet with the same top player has three to five variations, including the variant backs of the cards.

This doesn't have to happen, but it might be a neat to be able to catalogue a collection in this manner. I have a pretty big stack of these and I'm not certain I could bear to rip them apart. 

This doesn't address your question, Marc, but I checked out the cards you mentioned as I'd never heard of them. It is interesting that Topps' idea for these was interaction with the game itself as with the #77 Cesar Cedeno card (you know me checking out those 'Stros) which encourages keeping score of a game on the back of the card. Apparently Topps wasn't considering collection as much as developing an interest in the game of baseball. 

I wouldn't rip them apart, either.
