TL;DR - is there a way to delete a collection (not just the items within it)?
I was debating creating multiple collections to separate cards, maybe by sport, or by year, etc. so I created a "test" collection to see how that worked. I saw recently that I accidentally added cards to this Test collection that I was able to move to my Main collection, but I'd like to completely delete this Test collection so I don't make this mistake again. I don't see the option to delete the collection, since "Delete your whole collection" only deletes the items in the collection, but not the collection itself. I thought this might bee in the "Tools" list, or after clicking the gear to the right of a collections, but I'm not seeing this. Maybe I am missing something obvious?
Thanks!

Click on your collection, scroll all the way down and the option is there at the bottom of the page.

Can you tell me what that option is called, please? I see "Delete your whole Collection...", but when I click on that link it takes me into a page that says "delete all items from your collection." and after a couple different tests, it deletes items but not the connection itself.
What I'm seeing at the bottom:

Apologies, you are correct. I created a test collection to see what's what.
I clicked on the main "Collection" link. Next to my test collection, there's a gear icon - click on that. Then click delete - it'll prompt you for your password. After entering it, my test collection was gone.

Nice! Thanks for taking the time to help with this, sincerely appreciated.
I tried this previously and only saw the option to rename/save, I didn't see the delete button to the right!

The collection has to be empty before you can delete it.

-- Dan -- Note: Please see my profile for more info regarding trading (section updated 10/25/2023). I have added a large portion of my inventory to the site, and currently have trading turned off (details are in my profile). I have (finally) unearthed my 2 very large boxes of Star Company minor league sets and they are available (email for details).

I thought this was the case and why I wasn't seeing the Delete option before, but when I finally deleted the collection it had one item in it. To further test, I just created a new collection, added an item and could still Delete. Added up to 16 and could still Delete, so I'm not sure the threshold, but problem solved! Thanks for all of the feedback.

No it doesn't. You can delete collections that are full of cards. I know because I have been transferring my main collection to sub collections for a while now. I create a new collection, label it by the year of the cards, then transfer all the cards from my main collection to that new collection. Then as it sits there, I go through my offline checklists and go through and make sure both my lists and the site's lists match for the year. Once a year's checklist is up to date, I delete that collection with everything on it and re-enter the entire checklist for the year including anything I had omitted before. I have done it many times so far. And unfortunately have many more to go.
