Looks like there's an ongoing issue with email delivery from the new server. There might be some hourly limits that we're hitting causing some mail to not be delivered. These limits look to be in place to prevent spammers from sending out bulk messages and lowering the confidence level of the email server which would lead to more messages being delivered to junk folders or being blocked by email providers altogether.
Please note that you can still go to the links below to see your mail and notifications. This problem is only affecting email delivery from the site to your personal email address.

https://www.tcdb.com/Notifications.cfm
While this is resolved, this gives us a good opportunity to review some of the email settings and the amount of email that is getting generated. Some members have commented in the past that they have the email feature turned off due to the amount of email that gets generated, especially from the Transaction Manager. Do we really need to send an email each time a transaction is updated? Maybe one email every day or every few hours letting you know that there are new messages would suffice?
Please give your feedback below on if you rely on the emails delivered to your personal account, if you were getting too many emails, if you would prefer to get less emails or summary emails, or if you thought the number of emails was fine. Thanks!

I am one of those who has turned off getting emails from the site for most things (I think I still get an email if someone comments on one of my user lists). That's minimal in my case.
From an internal messaging standpoint, I am a very large user of that. I like the new "Transaction Updated (Package Sent)" subject headers. This is very helpful (this will mean I will not have to go to the Transaction page every time to see why it updated). Because of that, I don't need it reduced.
RE Notifications - I am seeing them coming in when someone likes a forum post (or a RCOTD comment) of mine. I would like to turn them off. I'm already getting notifications for New Features being added, new comments in Inaccuracy Reports, moved sets, and if I've initiated the tagging of a subpar image. They fill up fast.
Thanks for taking the time to gather the members' feedback.

I actually like getting all of the emails if only to know how quick the other trading partner is in sending their cards. Sometimes it gets me to move quicker if I see they have sent things already. I probably spend too much time around the computer/on the phone, though, so I would understand if people who have more discipline than I do are tired of seeing all the emails in the Inbox.

If I could get only one email per transaction per day and per subscribed forum thread, that would be an improvement. But to be honest, I'm not too concerned with the amount of email that I am getting.
That being said, I'm a relatively infrequent trader with specific wantlists and somewhat small FS/T list so I don't get many emails. I'm always impressed by those that trade more than a dozen a day or hundreds per month. You guys must get a ton of email.

I like this new feature alot:
Transaction Updated (Package Sent)"
perhaps a daily digest of the notifications may be helpful instead of gettting every one
thanks, mark

I personally have no issues with the emails. I still use the actual message and notification areas here though. The only complaint with emails for me would be for subscribed forums. Perhaps once a day on those bt everything else seems fine. I am good with whatever the mass majority decides though.

I rely on system messages instead of emails for transaction notifications.

I don't mind not receiving emails. I always check the message notification when I log in.

I turned off emails. I check the message board regularly for my communication. I too like the new feature from the message board when updating a transaction.

I turned off email notifications a long time ago and don't miss the emails. Everytime I am on TCDb and refresh a screen, if a new message or notification has come in, I see the letter icon by my ID in the top right of every page. That is all I need to know that I have a new message.
And yes, the new feature is a nice addition.
