This my not be popular, especially amongst some of our "longer-tenured" members, but here's the reality of the situation:
The site's rule is "Scans only".
Who decides on whether the images submitted are scans or not? Other members (usually ones who have been on the site for a long time).
Many of us have actually had communication with Admin regarding images, and in my case specifically, he said to me to be very strict on accepting images. Therefore, when I review images, which isn't very often, I am strict, and reject many.
If an image presents itself so well thatwe cannot tell that it's a photograp, it will pass that level of inspection. WE did have a set at one point added as all photographs - and accepted and "blessed" by Admin - because the user was a professional and had a photobox and the works. The photos of the cards looked 1,000 times better than any scan ever could.
Basically it comes down to this - if you submit a really clean image, it most likely won't get rejected (some do accidently, wrong button gets pressed, and there's no way to take it back). Make it look really good. Don't prop it against the wall so we can see the wall, or the floor, or the counter/desk top. Don't want to see the slab, or the top loader, or the penny sleeve. Just the card. Make it look good. Don't submit dark shadowy photos.

Note: Please see my profile for more info regarding trading (section updated 10/25/2023). I have added a large portion of my inventory to the site, and currently have trading turned off (details are in my profile). I have (finally) unearthed my 2 very large boxes of Star Company minor league sets and they are available (email for details).
